An important part of CONCAWE's role is to make the outcome of its work accessible to a wide audience both within its membership and beyond. One means of doing this is through symposia, seminars and workshops and three examples are described below.

For a number of years now, the annual CONCAWE Symposium has been a regular feature of the end of year calendar and offers attendees an opportunity to gain an insight into developments in HSSE-related EU legislation and pre-legislative activities. It also elucidates the contribution that our industry makes, and will continue to make, to this process through CONCAWE and other means.

The 4-yearly COPEX Seminar provides a key opportunity for oil pipeline operators to share experiences, learnings, and best practices for ensuring the safety and efficient operation of the EU’s extensive pipeline system for transporting crude oil and refined products across the European Union.

Environmental health issues are increasingly in focus, and CONCAWE has sponsored two international Environment and Health workshops centered upon understanding the current state of scientific knowledge and propose a forward looking roadmap for the development of priorities, emerging challenges and opportunities into policy-relevant research regarding air quality health effects.
